This weekend saw us miss going along to the cambridge 'Poster Roast', as we have been bsuy building our new printing studio and printing madly for an exhibtion opening tomo. But we managed to get some posters down to this ace event so our presence was there in some form Big thanks go to the awesome Alex of Thr33 Designs who put the whole thing on.

Pennines played as did the excellent Tellison. and by all accounts it was a wonderfully riotous affair with some amqazing prints by equally amazing people.

The new shop will be up and running hopefully by the end of tomorrow along with some new designs and things to buy!!!

I will be doing a mail out sometime on wednesday so dont hesitate to sign up to our mailing list and get all the latest news from the depths of the telegramme studio.

big printed love

I am illustrating a collection of haiku by friend and poet Hamish Ironside. At present I am uncertain as to whether the work I am generating is preparatory or finished. It feels like a distraction to worry either way, though. I’m pleased with the freshness of the drawing. I had begun working on this project a few months ago and stupidly didn’t finish it in one deliberate swoop. So now I find myself ambling around pictures which already seem consigned to history, tracing new thoughts over old ones. In all honesty, this is not such bad practice. It feels good working in tandem with a younger self, realising where he went wrong and where I could learn…

Here’s one new drawing and I’ll leave it at that.

I drew these dancing Rugby players for today’s Guardian. Having recently produced some very complicated and time consuming work, it was a welcome relief to have what turned out to be a three hour job. Quickly produced work often has a directness and a bluntness which I like. I think these fellows are rather fun.
